Maid of the Mist, Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS RAINBOW

This is the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.......the boat in the water on the Niagara River  is called "MAID OF THE MIST". It has been a very popular tourist attraction since the 1850's. The boat ride is around 30 minutes, but it is a thrill of a lifetime......you are provided with a BLUE raincoat, because believe me you will be soaked to the bone with the mist from the Falls....and it goes very close to the Horseshoe Falls. Both Canadian and US operate these boats  on each side and the only way you can tell the difference is the flag hanging on the boat...they are exactly the same.

Today I'm linking to BLUE MONDAY at; http://smilingsally.blogspot.ca/

Thank you for stopping by!!!!!  Happy Blue Monday!

  1. That is blue-tiful! Johnny and I went once to the Canadian side and watched Maid of the Mist from above. We did not ride, though. We stayed dry!

    Thanks for sharing.

    Happy Blue Monday, Erica!

    1. Hi Irene....I haven't been on it for ages either. Usually when visitors come I just wait for them, don't want to get wet.

  7. Oh what a lovely post! I keep hearing the US side of the falls is drying up. So sad. The Canadian side is where all the beauty lies I have heard.
