Niagara Falls 'blues'

Thank you Hostess Sally for hosting "Blue Monday" for some fabulous inspirational ideas and fun!...
Be sure and visit the other participants at http://smilingsally.blogspot.

NIAGARA FALLS
This winter has been so cold and gloomy that I can hardly wait till summer.........so I put this pretty blue photo up of Niagara Falls trying to cheer myself up. We took this picture in the summer time when we visit there. It is only a bit over 1 hour from Toronto so we go quite often for a day.
This was taken from the Canadian side and the US is just on the left.
If you can see there is a lil' boat down there called The Maiden Mist.........they have those tours on both sides of the border. It looks like they have about a dozen of those boats together so you don't have to wait long to get on, b/c during the summer this whole Niagara Falls area is extremley crowded with tourists from all around.......remember it use to be 'The Honeymoon Capital'

Thank you for stopping by.....be sure to visit the other participants.

Have a great "BLUE MONDAY"!

  1. I'll bet it's icy today, Erica. We went to Niagara Falls for our 25th anniversary. The Canadian side is much prettier than the American side. What a beautiful place. Happy Blue Monday.

  3. Wow,
I have never been to Niagara Falls, but hopefully one day my kids and I can make the trip. I'm sure it is amazing in person. Thank you for the post!

  4. One of these days...I am sure that a little snapshot just can't do justice to this awesome site, not to mention the sound.
So glad you found your way to my place and hope you come back soon and often.
    Happy MONDAY Blessings ;-)

  5. I love this post...it brings back memories for me! We travel to Toronto at least once a year and always stop at the falls. I can remember my children running around there when they were little and when they got a little older we would do the walking tours under the falls. Last year my husband a daughter rode the car across the whirlpool while my son and I, who were too chicken, watched.

  7. Have a fondness for Niagara Falls -- our DD lived in Buffalo and we were go there everytime we visited -- we loved the little Canadian town just north of Niagara Falls (was it Niagara on the Lake) -- charming!

    And the wine road!

Beautiful picture -- brings back so many great memories!

  12. A beautiful picture, the first one I've seen with blue tones. I'm with you about waiting for spring. Our pond is frozen; Bandwidth and I have to break up the ice again today so the livestock can drink. I am longing for warm weather.

  13. Those Falls are awe-inspiring. I've not seen them in person yet, but hope we can someday when DH retires. My niece lives on the American side of them and took my parents to see them and the Lilac Festival that was going on at the time of their visit there. I've always thought that would be so much beauty to enjoy at one time.
    Happy Blue Monday~
